During the closing ceremony of National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC)’s Vigilance Awareness Week in Hyderabad, Major General Ajay Misra, General Officer Commanding (GOC) for Telangana and Andhra Sub Area, delivered a powerful message. He emphasized that truly strong organizations are forged by dedicated individuals, and vigilance extends far beyond a simple departmental requirement; it’s a fundamental commitment shared by every single employee.
Drawing insightful comparisons between the disciplined operations of the Armed Forces and the functioning of public enterprises, Major General Misra highlighted the indispensable roles of integrity and strict adherence to established systems, procedures, and protocols. He championed the integration of technology and automation as crucial tools to boost operational transparency, eloquently stating that ‘vigilance is the very path through which we uphold the profound trust placed in us by this great nation.’
NMDC dedicated its Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, from October 27 to November 2, to the timely and resonant theme of ‘Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility.’
