In a tragic incident early Sunday morning (November 2, 2025), a speeding car in Pune, Maharashtra, crashed into a Metro station pillar, killing two occupants and leaving another critically injured, according to police reports.
The collision occurred around 4:30 a.m. in the Bund Garden area. Senior Police Inspector Sangita Jadhav from Koregaon Park police station confirmed, “A car struck a pillar of the Bund Garden Metro station. Initial reports indicate two individuals in the vehicle died, while the third suffered severe injuries.”
Further details from an official revealed, “The incident happened specifically at 4:49 a.m. CCTV footage from the area vividly shows the car traveling at an extremely high speed before impact. There were three people inside the car at the time of the crash.”
While investigations are ongoing, preliminary findings suggest the driver likely lost control of the vehicle, leading to this horrific accident. “We are still thoroughly investigating all aspects of the incident,” the official added.
Brave local residents quickly responded to the scene, transporting all three victims to a nearby hospital. Sadly, Hritik Bhandari and Yash Bhandari were pronounced dead. The third occupant, Kushwant Tekwani, remains in critical condition.
