Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently affirmed India’s unwavering commitment to global humanitarian efforts, stating that the nation consistently acts as the first responder in any international crisis. He emphasized India’s dedication to being a dependable partner, always ready to extend assistance.

During his address at the inauguration of the Shanti Shikhar centre for spiritual learning and meditation of Brahma Kumaris in Nava Raipur, Chhattisgarh, Mr. Modi articulated his government’s core philosophy: that national progress stems directly from the development of individual states. He reiterated this vision for the ‘Viksit Bharat’ mission, aimed at transforming India into a developed nation.

Highlighting India’s humanitarian spirit, the Prime Minister declared, “Whenever a crisis strikes anywhere in the world today, whenever a disaster occurs, India steps forward as a reliable partner to provide help. India is always the first responder.”

He further elaborated on India’s deep-rooted cultural values, stating, “We are those who perceive the divine in every living being. In our tradition, every religious ceremony concludes with the profound wish for global prosperity and goodwill among all beings.”

Modi stressed the vital role of institutions like Brahma Kumaris in India’s journey towards becoming a developed nation. He shared a personal connection with the organization, remarking, “I have been associated with all of you for several decades. I am not a visitor here; I consider myself one of you.”

The Prime Minister also noted the significance of the day, as Chhattisgarh celebrated its 25th establishment anniversary. Jharkhand and Uttarakhand were also marking their 25 years, alongside several other states celebrating their foundation day. He extended his heartfelt felicitations to the citizens of all these states.

Earlier in the day, as part of the ‘Dil Ki Baat’ initiative, Mr. Modi met and interacted with 2,500 children who had successfully undergone treatment for congenital heart diseases during the ‘Gift of Life’ ceremony at Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital in Nava Raipur. Former Indian cricket captain Sunil Gavaskar was also in attendance at this heartwarming event.

Later, the Prime Minister was scheduled to participate in the Chhattisgarh Rajat Mahotsav, commemorating the state’s 25 years. His agenda included inaugurating new projects and laying foundation stones for developmental initiatives worth ₹14,260 crore across crucial sectors such as roads, industry, healthcare, and energy. He was also set to inaugurate the new Chhattisgarh assembly building and unveil a statue of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
