The Communist Party of India (CPI) is set to host a crucial one-day seminar in Kalaburagi on November 9th. This event aims to significantly boost public awareness regarding fundamental Constitutional values and underscore the critical importance of upholding these principles.
A key focus of the seminar will be to inform citizens about how the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is allegedly fostering communal discord and hatred within society.
During a recent press conference, CPI district secretary Mahesh Kumar Rathod called upon Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president D.K. Shivakumar to explicitly clarify his party’s stance on the RSS. Rathod also commended Minister Priyank Kharge for his outspoken criticism and questions directed at RSS activities.
Dr. Rathod expressed concerns that the RSS and the BJP are, in his view, trying to disrupt the region’s communal harmony, particularly under the pretext of organizing route marches.
He further asserted that the alarming rise in atrocities against women and Dalits in society is a direct consequence of the Manusmriti ideologies, which he believes are being actively promoted by the RSS and its associated organizations.
In light of these concerns, the activist urged the district administration to deny permission for the planned RSS march in Chittapur town, fearing it could destabilize peace among various community groups.
The upcoming CPI seminar promises to be an insightful platform, bringing together distinguished intellectuals, dedicated activists, and esteemed Constitutional law experts. They will engage in vital discussions on the urgent need to protect the secular and democratic values that form the bedrock of India’s Constitution.
