In a shocking turn of events, a 26-year-old doctor, Dr. Vishal Yadav, working at KEM Hospital in Mumbai, was reportedly attacked and stabbed outside the medical facility. The assault is alleged to have been carried out by his girlfriend’s brother, Farid, and two of his friends.
Dr. Yadav, who has been serving as a house officer in the hospital’s Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery department since August 1st, had reportedly entered into a relationship three weeks prior with a 23-year-old woman also employed at the hospital.

Upon learning about the relationship, the woman’s brother, Farid, decided to confront Dr. Yadav. He, along with two accomplices, identified one as Nabil, approached Dr. Yadav in Ward No. 31 at around 10:30 AM on Wednesday. They asked Dr. Yadav to step outside to discuss an issue concerning his sister.
As Dr. Yadav went outside, the group allegedly began assaulting him near the Hanuman Temple located just outside the hospital premises. During the altercation, Farid is said to have produced a knife and stabbed Dr. Yadav. Passersby quickly intervened and rushed the injured doctor to the hospital, where he received treatment.
Authorities have since registered a case against the three individuals involved in the attack.
