Jubilee Hills’ Neglected Promises: BJP Challenges BRS and Congress on Civic Neglect

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is vigorously campaigning in Jubilee Hills, urging constituents to rally behind their candidate, Deepak Reddy, in the impending by-election. The party highlights what it describes as extensive civic neglect and a trail of broken promises left by both the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and Congress administrations.

Malkajgiri MP Eatala Rajender voiced concerns during a campaign event on Tuesday night, stating, “Residents in this area continue to grapple with persistent problems such as overflowing drains, deteriorating roads, a lack of essential pensions, insufficient housing, and inadequate access to clean drinking water. These critical issues have remained unaddressed for years, causing immense suffering. Furthermore, many senior citizens over 65 have reported not receiving their rightful pensions.”

“The BRS once promised comprehensive development but delivered nothing. Now, the Congress is repeating the same pattern of deception with its unfulfilled ‘Six Guarantees’,” Rajender asserted, criticizing the previous and current state governments.

The MP further alleged that current Congress ministers are disorganized and appear more focused on personal gains rather than serving the public’s well-being. He emphasized that “true transformation in Jubilee Hills can only be achieved by defeating both the BRS and Congress. Everywhere we go, people express their faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi, believing he alone can steer the nation towards progress.”

Crucial Strategy Session

Meanwhile, State BJP president N. Ramchander Rao chaired an important meeting with party office bearers at the party headquarters. He stressed the importance of an intensive door-to-door campaign, designed to showcase the welfare schemes and development initiatives championed by the Modi government at the national level. Rao called upon party leaders to actively expose the “corruption and mismanagement” of the former BRS government and the current Congress administration’s failure to deliver on its electoral pledges.

In a related appeal, Mr. Rao also urged party members to actively participate in relief and assistance efforts for communities affected by Cyclone Montha. “In this time of hardship, our primary responsibility is to collaborate with local authorities and ensure prompt aid reaches the most vulnerable, including the poor, farmers, and daily-wage earners, whose livelihoods have been severely disrupted. This crucial assistance encompasses providing food, shelter, medical support, and other essential supplies,” he stated.
