Thalapathy Vijay, president of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), has officially announced that a pivotal special general council meeting will take place on November 5th in Mamallapuram. The primary agenda for this gathering is to chart the party’s strategic path forward.
This significant announcement follows a recent Wednesday meeting where the 28-member executive committee convened to discuss the party’s ongoing operations. It also comes just a month after a tragic stampede at a TVK rally in Karur resulted in the unfortunate deaths of 41 individuals, adding a solemn backdrop to the upcoming deliberations.
In a heartfelt letter addressed to party members, Mr. Vijay conveyed, “After a period of profound reflection and silence in our political journey, I extend this invitation to you all, seeking your presence and engagement.” He further emphasized the critical need to “overcome all cunning strategies employed by our adversaries,” signaling a determined stance for the party’s future.
