With Cyclone Montha continuing its weakening trajectory, expected to transition from a deep depression to a regular depression by Wednesday’s end (October 29, 2025), the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a significant heavy rainfall warning. Five districts in Telangana are specifically advised to prepare for substantial rainfall on Thursday, October 30, 2025.
The latest bulletin from the IMD highlights that isolated areas within Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, and Mulugu districts are highly likely to experience these intense downpours. Additionally, a broader range of districts—including Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, and Mulugu—should anticipate thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and strong gusty winds.
For residents in Hyderabad and its surrounding areas, the forecast for the next 24 hours indicates generally cloudy skies. The city can expect light to moderate rain or thundershowers, potentially with intense spells at times, and gusty winds. Misty or hazy conditions are also likely to prevail during morning and night hours. Temperatures in Hyderabad are predicted to range around 28°C for the maximum and 22°C for the minimum.
