Cluster University Registrar G. Srinivas, who also serves as the principal of Silver Jubilee College, recently highlighted the immense potential for a bright future awaiting students who join the National Cadet Corps (NCC). His remarks were made during the NCC cadet selection process at the college, where he was accompanied by officials from the 28 Andhra Battalion.
Addressing the aspiring cadets, Mr. Srinivas passionately explained how NCC participation instills invaluable discipline, a foundational trait for success in all areas of life. Beyond personal development, he stressed the tangible career benefits, including priority consideration for recruitment into the Armed Forces and various Police departments. He urged the selected candidates to commit to rigorous training, with the ultimate goal of earning a place in the prestigious Republic Day Parade on January 26th.
Further emphasizing the program’s value, College Vice-Principal B.R. Prasad Reddy noted the significant advantages NCC cadets gain through job quotas in government employment and enhanced opportunities for pursuing higher education. Subedar Jaktar Singh also spoke, commending the past students of Silver Jubilee College for their reputation as highly disciplined cadets and encouraging the new batch to uphold this esteemed tradition. The selection event saw enthusiastic participation, with 75 students competing for 60 available cadet positions from the College.
