The Bengaluru racing circuit was abuzz with activity this Sunday morning, October 26th, as several horses took to the track for their rigorous exercises. Among them, three names shone particularly bright: Galahad, Skagen, and Echoes Of Time, each demonstrating exceptional form and hinting at promising future performances.

Inner Sand Workouts

On the inner sand track, a few contenders put in their paces:

  • 600m Sprint: Bestidentification, guided by R. Pradeep, clocked a swift 41 seconds, moving effortlessly and “on the bit.” Not far behind, Hidden Dreams, with its rider, completed the distance in 40 seconds, showcasing strong and fluid movement.
  • 1000m Gallop: Xanthe, under the command of Shreyas, completed the 1000-meter stretch in a comfortable 1 minute and 10 seconds, with the final 600m covered in 41 seconds. The effort appeared easy and controlled.

Outer Sand Performances

The outer sand track witnessed some truly impressive displays:

  • 600m Burst: Skagen, ridden by Indrajeet, made a powerful impression, finishing the 600 meters in a brisk 42 seconds. Its performance was notably strong and compelling.
  • 1000m Excellence: Echoes Of Time, with R. Pradeep once again in the saddle, proved to be in superb condition. It completed the 1000-meter workout in 1 minute and 10 seconds, with a quick final 600m in 41 seconds, indicating it’s in “fine nick.” Following closely, Sir Winston, guided by its rider, strode out effectively over the same distance, clocking 1 minute 13 seconds, with the last 600m in 43.5 seconds.
  • 1200m Strong Finishes: The 1200-meter exercises saw several horses making strong statements. Exceed, with its rider, completed the course in 1 minute 27.5 seconds, including 1000m in 1 minute 11.5 seconds and the final 600m in 43 seconds, leaving observers “pleased.” Dramatic, also with its rider, was in “fine trim,” finishing in 1 minute 27 seconds (1000m in 1 minute 12.5 seconds, 600m in 45 seconds). But it was Galahad, under Indrajeet, that truly “impressed,” clocking 1 minute 27 seconds for the 1200m, with 1000m in 1 minute 11 seconds and the last 600m in 42.5 seconds.
  • 1400m Free Movement: Schoenberg, ridden by its handler, moved freely and easily over the longer 1400-meter distance, completing it in 1 minute 44.5 seconds, with intermediate times of 1 minute 29 seconds for 1200m and 1 minute 14.5 seconds for 1000m, and the final 600m in 45 seconds.

Overall, the morning exercises highlighted the readiness and potential of these equine athletes as they prepare for their upcoming races, with Galahad, Skagen, and Echoes Of Time certainly standing out from the crowd.
