In a peculiar turn of events in Dehradun, a 28-year-old woman has filed a First Information Report (FIR) against her uncle and aunt for allegedly abducting her two kittens. The complainant, Rashmi Dhiman from Dharampur, stated that her relatives, Umesh Dhiman and Suman Dhiman, harbored a strong dislike for the young felines, viewing them as a bad omen.
According to the FIR lodged at the Nehru Colony police station, Rashmi Dhiman explained that a stray cat had given birth to two kittens at her house in March. While she cared for them, her uncle and aunt, who reside in the same courtyard but in a separate house, disapproved of the kittens. Rashmi alleges that her uncle put the kittens in the trunk of his scooter and left them somewhere, effectively abducting them.
Adding to the allegations, Rashmi also claimed that her uncle, aunt, and their three sons had threatened to harm her.
Sanjeet Kumar, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Nehru Colony police station, confirmed that an FIR has been registered. The case is being investigated under Section 351(2) of the BNS and relevant provisions of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.
