NTPC Kayamkulam, a pivotal power generating station, recently commemorated its 30th Raising Day with a memorable ceremony on Thursday. The event kicked off with the traditional flag hoisting, setting a celebratory tone. Debdutta Sinha, the Head of Project, captivated attendees with an inspiring address, recounting the remarkable journey and milestones achieved by NTPC Kayamkulam throughout its three decades of operation. This significant anniversary also served as an occasion to acknowledge the facility’s recent successes, including the prestigious Silver Award in the CII Southern Region EHS Excellence Awards and the highly regarded International Safety Awards from the British Safety Council in both 2024 and 2025.
During his address, Mr. Sinha proudly highlighted the exceptional contributions of individual executives. Among those recognized were Manu S., the Deputy General Manager (Civil), who received national acclaim from the Bureau of Energy Efficiency for his impactful work. Additionally, Mangala Hareendran, the Head of Human Resources, was celebrated for her outstanding leadership, being honored as one of Kerala’s Topmost HR Leaders by the esteemed World HRD Congress. These recognitions underscore NTPC Kayamkulam’s commitment not only to operational excellence but also to nurturing and celebrating its talented workforce.
