Amidst traditional Vedic hymns and auspicious rituals, K. Kannababu, the esteemed Commissioner of the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA), officially commenced his work from the state-of-the-art CRDA headquarters in Amaravati this Thursday.
Joining him in their respective new offices, Additional Commissioner A. Bhargava Teja and Engineer-in-Chief R. Gopalakrishna Reddy also performed a customary puja before settling into their roles. The occasion saw many senior officers and dedicated staff extending their warm greetings to the newly-settled officials.
This modern facility stands as a significant milestone, being the first major structure completed since the NDA government assumed power. Its grand inauguration, presided over by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, was a momentous event attended by a large number of Amaravati farmers. These farmers, a decade prior, had generously contributed their lands under the Land Pooling Scheme (LPS) to facilitate the ambitious construction of the new capital city. The new headquarters is poised to play a pivotal role, serving as the central hub for monitoring and advancing the crucial ongoing development works across the capital region.
