The October Inzoi modding update is just around the corner, but the developer, Krafton, has announced some significant changes to its plans. These adjustments aim to make the popular lifestyle simulator more accessible and its modding tools more comprehensive. While previous updates, like the addition of Cahaya’s resort, have already moved Inzoi toward becoming a strong contender among PC life simulation games, the implementation of robust mod tools is crucial for its long-term success. However, the eagerly awaited script mods, which are expected to revolutionize Inzoi’s gameplay possibilities, have been delayed to ensure they are fully ‘feature complete’.
This latest announcement brings a mix of news for Inzoi players. The good news is that localization mods, originally slated for December, will now be part of the October update. While a precise release date for this update hasn’t been given, it’s expected very soon. On the flip side, face mods and related customization features have been removed from the October release schedule.

The October update now includes several exciting new additions: hair tools for the Create-a-Zoi feature, an expanded build mode with new doors, fences, pillars, and windows, a data-based UI editor, and the aforementioned localization tools. Players will also gain the ability to significantly alter motion, conversation scripts, voices, and even the rewards earned during interactions between their Zois.
Unfortunately, we will need to exercise more patience for the script mods. These are arguably the most transformative additions, promising to enable much more dramatic and substantial gameplay changes that could vastly expand Inzoi’s creative potential. In other games, such mods have been responsible for everything from introducing new careers and food delivery services to creating elaborate zombie apocalypses and even more mature content.
Inzoi Studios explained that, following an internal review, they decided to switch the scripting language for these mods from Blueprint to Lua. To accommodate this significant change, they stated: “All features related to script mods will be postponed to next year. Due to their complex and expandable nature, we will be dedicating more time to making these features more feature complete, user friendly, and well documented.”

The studio offered an apology for the delay, stating, “Further updates to our plans and schedule for these features will be shared separately at a later date.” Given that features like Cahaya are already offering unique experiences, many players might agree that a longer wait for more powerful and well-implemented mod tools is a worthwhile trade-off for Inzoi’s future.
For those eager to dive deeper into Inzoi, there are various ways to enhance your gameplay. Exploring existing cheats can provide everything from extra in-game currency to perfect relationships for your Zois. Additionally, checking out other life simulation games can offer alternative experiences while waiting for Inzoi’s full modding potential to unlock.
