IndiGo has announced exciting news for travelers, revealing that starting November 15, the airline will commence daily direct flight operations between Mumbai and Madinah, Saudi Arabia. Passengers can now book their journeys on this new route using IndiGo’s website, mobile app, or authorized travel partners.
The airline plans to utilize its Airbus A320 aircraft for these services. This new route complements IndiGo’s existing operations to Madinah from Hyderabad, which currently run four times a week. Importantly, the Hyderabad-Madinah flights will also transition to a daily schedule, beginning November 16.
IndiGo maintains a significant presence in Saudi Arabia, operating over 150 flights weekly connecting India to four key cities: Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam, and Madinah. Notably, IndiGo is the sole Indian airline offering direct flights to Madinah, a destination frequently visited by Indian pilgrims during the Hajj season to pray at the Prophet’s Mosque.
The airline has released the specific flight schedules for the Mumbai-Madinah route:
- Mumbai to Madinah (Flight 6E 0059): Daily flights departing at 10:05 PM, arriving in Madinah at 1:10 AM the next day.
- Madinah to Mumbai (Flight 6E 0060): Daily flights departing at 9:50 PM, arriving in Mumbai at 4:45 AM the next day.
