In a somber turn of events, a 48-year-old woman was discovered dead under perplexing circumstances on the veranda of a local beverage outlet in Kannur on Tuesday morning. The deceased has been identified as Shelvi, a resident of Thottada Samajwadi Colony.
The alarm was raised by eyewitnesses who found Shelvi lying unconscious on the porch of the Parakandy beverage outlet. Upon this distressing discovery, they promptly alerted the authorities. Soon after, concerned relatives and local residents gathered at the scene, seeking answers.
A police team, led by Kannur Town Sub-Inspector V.V. Deepti, swiftly arrived at the site to commence preliminary investigations into the incident.
As part of their ongoing inquiry, police officials are meticulously reviewing CCTV footage from nearby establishments. Their aim is to piece together Shelvi’s movements in the hours leading up to her untimely death and uncover any crucial clues.
Shelvi is survived by her two children, Sanoj and Sajida. Her body has been transported for a comprehensive post-mortem examination, which is expected to shed more light on the cause and nature of her death.
