A horrific fire engulfed a residential high-rise in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, shortly after midnight on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, leading to the untimely deaths of four individuals and leaving ten others with injuries, according to police reports.
Initial investigations suggest the inferno ignited around 12:30 AM within a flat on the 10th floor of Raheja Residency, located in the MGM Complex, Sector 14, Vashi. The flames rapidly escalated, extending their destructive path to the 11th and 12th floors of the building, an official confirmed.
Among the casualties were two women, an adult man, and a young 6-year-old girl. The ten injured victims received immediate medical attention and were transported to two different hospitals in Vashi for treatment.
Responding swiftly to the emergency, a large contingent of 40 fire brigade personnel, supported by eight fire tenders and local police, rushed to the scene. Their intensive efforts successfully brought the devastating blaze under control by 4:00 AM.
As of now, authorities are continuing their rigorous investigation to pinpoint the exact cause of this tragic fire.
