President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to arrive in Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday evening, October 21, 2025, commencing a significant four-day visit to Kerala. Her arrival will be at the Indian Air Force (IAF)’s Forward Base Support Unit enclave within the Thiruvananthapuram International Airport.
Upon her arrival, President Murmu will be officially welcomed by prominent state dignitaries, including Kerala Governor Rajendra Arlerkar, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, and Thiruvananthapuram Mayor Arya Rajendran.
Following the reception, President Murmu will proceed to the Raj Bhavan for her overnight stay. The highlight of her trip on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, will be a revered darshan at the Sabarimala Ayyappa Temple. She will be transported to the uphill temple in a convoy of four-wheel drive vehicles, traveling along the dedicated Swamy Ayyappan Road.
Thursday, October 23, 2025, marks a day of important inaugurations. President Murmu will first unveil a bust dedicated to former President K.R. Narayanan. Subsequently, she will grace the Mahasamadhi Centenary celebrations of Sree Narayana Guru at the historic Sivagiri Madhom in Varkala.
Later that day, her itinerary includes a journey to Kottayam, where she is slated to inaugurate the valedictory function of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations at St. Thomas College in Palaa.
Concluding her visit on Friday, October 24, 2025, President Murmu will be in Ernakulam to inaugurate the centenary celebrations of St. Teresa’s College. After this final engagement, she will depart for Delhi via a special IAF flight.
In anticipation of the presidential visit, state police have significantly enhanced security measures across Kerala. Specifically in Thiruvananthapuram, authorities have issued advisories regarding traffic disruptions and have prohibited parking on both sides of the Shanghumugham Air Force Station-Raj Bhavan road to ensure smooth movement and security.
