The Hemant Soren-led Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) has made a sudden U-turn regarding the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, announcing that the party will not be contesting.
This development follows closely on the heels of JMM’s earlier declaration to fight the elections independently in six assembly segments. The party’s senior leader, Sudivya Kumar, shared this news with reporters, adding that JMM will now reconsider its alliance in Jharkhand with the Congress and RJD, promising a “befitting reply” to what they perceive as a snub.
The JMM’s shifting stance highlights the growing uncertainties and coordination challenges within the INDIA bloc concerning seat-sharing arrangements.
