Ayodhya – Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has called for unwavering vigilance against forces aiming to divide and destabilize society, stating that complacency following achievements often paves the way for betrayal.
During his visit to Karsevakpuram in Ayodhya, Chief Minister Adityanath met with spiritual leaders, shared a meal with them, and acknowledged their contributions. He also visited a local cowshed to feed the animals before attending a Deepavali Milan program. According to a statement from the UP government, Adityanath remarked, “Complacency after success often invites betrayal. Society must remain alert and united.”
Reflecting on the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi movement and the recent consecration of Shri Ram Lalla, he highlighted the amplified collective responsibility of society, stressing the need for inclusivity and unity. “The joy of a festival is complete only when it includes everyone,” he stated.
Adityanath observed that Ayodhya’s true spirit lies in service and togetherness, referencing his visits to Shri Ram Janmabhoomi, Hanumangarhi, and Nishad Basti. He drew a parallel to Lord Ram’s embrace of Nishad Raj and acceptance of Shabari’s offering, emphasizing that unity is the path to ‘Ramrajya’ and a self-reliant India.
The Chief Minister encouraged the saints present to spread light and joy, particularly in areas of scarcity. “Share your blessings by ensuring that sweets and happiness reach those in need this Deepavali,” he urged. Extending Deepavali greetings, he called for the festival’s spirit to illuminate every corner of society, not just individual homes.
Later, Adityanath honored 150 sanitation workers and 50 boatmen near Ram Katha Park, presenting them with gifts and extending his Deepavali wishes. He also visited various Akharas and monasteries, checking on the well-being of saints and presenting them with festive gifts.
The Chief Minister concluded his visit by meeting Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, the president of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, at Mani Ram Das Chhavni. He inquired about Mahant Nritya Gopal Das’s health, conveyed his wishes for a long and healthy life, and presented him with Deepavali gifts.
