Hyderabad, Telangana – Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy recently addressed the Sri Krishna Sadar Sammelan at NTR Grounds, a vibrant celebration that he reaffirmed as a State festival. The Congress government, he stated, is fully committed to providing financial support to ensure the preservation of Telangana’s rich cultural heritage and to instill pride in future generations.
During his speech, the Chief Minister underscored the historical significance of cultural events and traditions in propelling the Telangana movement forward. He noted that festivals like Sadar vividly illustrate the profound respect for animals deeply embedded in Telangana’s way of life.
Reddy heaped praise upon the Yadav community, describing them as “a symbol of trust and hard work.” He acknowledged their enduring contributions to the formation and development of Telangana, reaffirming his government’s dedication to their welfare and empowerment. A key promise made was to ensure adequate political recognition and expanded opportunities for the community members.
Addressing the crowd, the Chief Minister assured that the Congress party would diligently work to ensure every individual receives the recognition and chances they deserve. He even touched upon the recent instance where senior leader Anjan Kumar Yadav was not granted the Jubilee Hills party ticket, stating, “If you have any issues, come to us, and it is my responsibility to resolve them.” This declaration was met with enthusiastic applause from the attendees.
He further highlighted that the Congress government’s decision to declare the Sadar festival a State event and provide comprehensive financial backing was a clear demonstration of their commitment to the Yadav community, a step not taken by the previous BRS administration. The event saw the participation of prominent figures, including Rajya Sabha MP Anil Kumar Yadav, senior Congress leader Anjan Kumar Yadav, and former Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya.
