New Delhi: Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi recently completed a comprehensive review of India’s military preparedness across the central sector, focusing on border areas adjacent to Nepal and China. During his two-day visit, which concluded on Sunday, General Dwivedi visited several high-altitude forward posts in Pithoragarh and surrounding regions. The tour aimed to evaluate the operational posture, boost troop morale, and strengthen civil-military relations in this strategically crucial area.
According to an official statement, the Army Chief meticulously reviewed ongoing initiatives to enhance military capabilities. This included an assessment of advanced surveillance systems, specialized mobility platforms, the integration of cutting-edge technologies, optimization of reconnaissance assets, and coordination efforts with allied security agencies.
General Dwivedi commended the troops for their high standards of professionalism, discipline, tactical adaptability, and innovative use of new equipment in challenging terrains. He specifically lauded their resilience, courage, and unwavering dedication to duty, even under extreme climatic conditions and difficult terrain.
