Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has proudly declared that the era of “dark rule” is over, as citizens overwhelmingly voted for the TDP-Jana Sena Party-BJP alliance, granting them an unprecedented mandate. Speaking at the Deepavali celebrations at Punnami Ghat on Sunday, Naidu confidently stated that Andhra Pradesh is steadily recovering from the significant challenges it has faced since its bifurcation over a decade ago.
The Chief Minister highlighted the pivotal role of the Union government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in this turnaround. He emphasized that the Centre’s comprehensive support has been instrumental in stabilizing the state’s finances and setting it firmly on a path to prosperity.
Beyond the fundamental central assistance, the state government has been diligently implementing its ambitious “Super Six” schemes, offering a wide array of benefits that extend far beyond these core programs. Despite persistent financial hurdles, Naidu announced that the government has successfully disbursed one pending Dearness Allowance (DA) and one surrender leave to state employees and police personnel, while also actively streamlining the Employees’ Health Scheme to ensure better welfare for its workforce.
Naidu further underscored the positive impact of the GST 2.0 reforms, describing them as a significant boon for both businesses and everyday citizens. He asserted that the rationalization of GST rates has led to substantial savings, with each family potentially saving up to ₹15,000 annually.
Looking ahead, the Chief Minister shared his ambitious vision for Andhra Pradesh to evolve into an ‘AI State,’ leveraging artificial intelligence for development. He also reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to transforming Amaravati into a modern, model capital city and ensuring the timely completion of the vital Polavaram project by December 2027. He envisions the P4 (Public-Private-People Partnership) model as a key driver for elevating the living standards of the state’s less fortunate.
Concluding his address, Naidu expressed optimism for India’s future, predicting that under Prime Minister Modi’s dynamic leadership, the nation is well on its way to becoming the world’s third-largest economy in the near future.
