Hyderabad witnessed a significant security incident at the Moosapet Metro Station on Saturday night when a live 9mm bullet was found in a passenger’s bag. Immediately following the discovery, Kukatpally police swiftly registered a case to thoroughly investigate the matter.
The concerning find came to light during a standard passenger screening conducted by diligent Metro Rail staff, who promptly alerted the police upon detecting the dangerous ammunition.
On Sunday, investigators determined that the bullet belonged to the stepfather of a minor passenger, identified as 28-year-old Mohmad Alam. Alam, a daily wage labourer involved in fabrication work and a resident of Pragathi Nagar, Moosapet, reportedly brought the bullet from his native place in Bihar. Law enforcement officials are currently conducting further inquiries to ascertain the precise reason for his possession and attempt to transport the live ammunition.
