In a significant operation, the Eluru district police recently incinerated a massive 3,403 kilograms (approximately 3.4 tonnes) of seized ganja. This substantial haul was destroyed using environmentally conscious technology, marking a modern approach to drug disposal.
Superintendent of Police K. Pratap Shiva Kishore confirmed that the illicit substance, confiscated from 58 different cases throughout Eluru district, was processed and eliminated at the state-of-the-art Jindal Urban Waste Management Centre located in Guntur.
The crucial operation was overseen by several high-ranking officials, including Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration) N. Surya Chandra Rao and Jangareddygudem Deputy Superintendent of Police U. Ravi Chandra, alongside other dedicated officers, highlighting the collaborative effort in tackling drug trafficking.
