Ashoka Reigns Supreme in Thrilling Hyderabad Feature Race

In a thrilling display of equestrian prowess at the Hyderabad races on Sunday, October 19, trainer D. Netto’s magnificent ward, Ashoka, delivered a commanding performance to win the prestigious Bold Venture Plate (Div. I). Jockey Mukesh Kumar expertly guided Ashoka to victory in the feature event. This impressive winner is proudly owned by M/s. Prabhakar Chowdary Tripuraneni, Rama Seshu Eyunni, Donald Anthony Netto & Tripuranenivenkata Aditya Chowdary.

The day’s action commenced with the Venus De Milo Plate (1,400m), where Una Paloma Blanca, under the guidance of Surya Prakash, stormed to victory. Bold Indian (Mukesh K) secured second place, followed by Tupac (B. Nikhil) and Muaser (P. Ajeeth K). The race concluded in 1m, 27.41s. Payouts included ₹19 (w), 16, 15, 13 (p); SHP: 24, THP: 35, FP: 65, Q: 34, Tanala: 249. Una Paloma Blanca was the favourite, owned by Mrs. Rohini Thuppal and trained by M.F. Ali Khan.

Next up, the Bold Venture Plate (Div. II) (1,200m) witnessed Espionage, ridden by Kuldeep Singh Sr., crossing the finish line first. One N Only (Mukesh K) came in second, with Vivaldo (Ashad Asbar) and Diablo (P. Sai K) taking third and fourth respectively. Dali’s Destiny did not run. The race time was 1m, 10.70s. Payouts: ₹55 (w), 15, 14, 15 (p); SHP: 30, THP: 47, FP: 240, Q: 87, Tanala: 605. Favourite: Diablo. The winner is owned by M/s. Prakash Babu, P. Ranga Raju, Donald Anthony Netto & Tripuranenivenkata Aditya Chowdary and trained by D. Netto.

The Rani Rudrama Devi Cup (1,600m) was claimed by Krystallos, skillfully piloted by P. Ajeeth Kumar. Bholi Punjaban (Mukesh K) finished second, followed by Lifes Journey (G. Naresh) and N R I Ultrapower (Akshay K). The race clocked 1m, 40.17s. Payouts: ₹48 (w), 10, 22, 11 (p); SHP: 48, THP: 40, FP: 273, Q: 133, Tanala: 723. N R I Ultrapower was the favourite. Owners: Mr. C. Aryama Sundaram & M/s. Mukteshwar Racing LLP. Trainer: L.V.R. Deshmukh.

In the Hard Held Plate (1,600m), Term Deposit, ridden by P. Ajeeth Kumar, dominated the field. Lake Michigan (P. Sai K) and Bestie (Akshay K) secured second and third, while Take A Breath (Sonu K) finished fourth. The race was completed in 1m, 39.65s. Payouts: ₹20 (w), 14, 11, 15 (p); SHP: 29, THP: 44, FP: 45, Q: 26, Tanala: 104. Term Deposit was the favourite, owned by Mr. Suresh Chintamaneni and trained by L.V.R. Deshmukh.

The Kinnersani Cup (1,400m) saw an exciting finish with Rolls Royce, with Abhay Singh aboard, taking the top spot. Glorious Power (Afroz K) and Gold Giver (Md. Ekram) followed in second and third, ahead of Pride Aside (B. Nikhil). Colt Pistol and Miss Marvellous did not participate. The race time was 1m, 25.87s. Payouts: ₹124 (w), 21, 21, 19 (p); SHP: 65, THP: 39, FP: 1,968, Q: 538, Tanala: 13,868. Miss Smiley Angel was the favourite. Owned by M.A.M. Ramaswamy Chettiar Of Chettinad Charitable Trust. Trainer: K. Satheesh.

The feature event, Bold Venture Plate (Div. I) (1,200m), was indeed a highlight with Ashoka and jockey Mukesh Kumar emerging victorious. Mikimoto (B. Nikhil) secured second place, followed by Calista Girl (Kuldeep Jr.) and Encore (Nakhat). The race was clocked at 1m, 12.06s. Payouts: ₹35 (w), 18, 18, 36 (p); SHP: 31, THP: 90, FP: 149, Q: 86, Tanala: 1,299. Lashka was the favourite. Owners: M/s. Prabhakar Chowdary Tripuraneni, Rama Seshu Eyunni, Donald Anthony Netto & Tripuranenivenkata Aditya Chowdary. Trainer: D. Netto.

Closing out the day, the Peddapalli Plate (1,200m) was won by Cape May, steered by Md. Ekram Alam. Swiss Girl (Mukesh K) came in second, with Clarity (Kuldeep Sr.) and Glimmer Of Hope (Gaurav) rounding out the top four. The race completed in 1m, 14.01s. Payouts: ₹58 (w), 13, 14, 12 (p); SHP: 26, THP: 46, FP: 276, Q: 95, Tanala: 596. Clarity was the favourite. Owner: Mr. M. Ramakrishna Reddy. Trainer: L. D’Silva.

The day’s betting results included a Jackpot for 70%: ₹1,32,847 (2 tickets) and 30%: ₹5,422 (21 tickets). Mini Jackpots were (i) ₹2,364 (15 tickets), (ii) ₹18,473 (4 tickets). Treble payouts were (i) ₹856 (25 tickets), (ii) ₹5,791 (5 tickets).
