As the festive spirit of Deepavali approaches, the Cuddalore district police force is significantly intensifying its security presence to guarantee public safety and a peaceful celebration for everyone.
Beyond simply positioning officers at key points, authorities have strategically installed numerous surveillance cameras in bustling public areas. This enhanced monitoring aims to deter criminal activity and quickly respond to any incidents.
A substantial contingent of over 2,500 police personnel has been assigned comprehensive security duties across Cuddalore district for the festival period. This extensive deployment includes specialized units like the Striking Force, anti-sabotage teams, and dedicated Home Guards, covering all seven sub-divisions: Cuddalore, Panruti, Chidambaram, Sethiyathope, Neyveli, Vriddhachalam, and Thittakudi.
These officers will operate in continuous, round-the-clock shifts to maintain constant vigilance. Furthermore, police patrols have been ramped up along all National and State Highways, complemented by the installation of even more surveillance cameras to bolster security on critical routes.
Authorities have issued a stern warning that strict action will be taken against individuals caught driving under the influence or attempting to disrupt public order during the festive celebrations.
