This strategic deployment covers key markets, busy public spaces, and commercial areas that typically see high foot traffic.
Adequate personnel have been stationed across all districts, with support from Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) acting as crucial force multipliers to bolster on-ground security. The Delhi Traffic Police have also deployed maximum resources to manage the increased vehicular movement expected during this festive rush. Their efforts focus on regulating traffic, ensuring pedestrian safety, and maintaining overall public convenience. Regular traffic advisories are being issued to inform commuters about restrictions, diversions, parking arrangements, and essential instructions. Authorities are urging the public to adhere to traffic regulations, utilize public transport when possible, and avoid using personal vehicles in crowded zones.
To enhance public confidence and demonstrate preparedness, Delhi Police, alongside CAPF personnel, have been conducting flag marches in prominent and bustling areas, including a recent joint march in the heavily frequented Chandni Chowk market. Foot patrols are actively underway in all police districts to uphold public safety and maintain law and order, with the increased police presence aimed at deterring any unlawful activities in crowded locations.
Furthermore, thorough anti-sabotage checks are being conducted at major markets, railway stations, and inter-state bus terminals, with the assistance of Bomb Disposal teams and Dog Squads.
