Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Blasts BRS Government for Neglecting Unemployed Youth

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy didn’t hold back, strongly criticizing the previous Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) administration for its decade-long neglect of job notifications. He highlighted that crucial Group-I and Group-II government posts remained largely vacant, while BRS leaders, he alleged, unfairly favored their own families, leaving countless young people in a state of uncertainty and despair.

These remarks were made during a ceremony on Saturday, where newly selected Group-II officers received their appointment letters.

“The BRS government disregarded the profound sacrifices and hopes of our martyrs, failing to prioritize employment for our youth,” he declared, unequivocally affirming his own administration’s dedication to tackling unemployment.

He proudly noted that his government had completed Group-I and Group-II recruitments in just 18 months, successfully filling 60,000 vacancies despite numerous legal challenges and social media hurdles. He urged the new recruits to actively participate in the rebuilding and progress of Telangana.

Mr. Reddy also cautioned against BRS leaders attempting to reignite old sentiments purely to regain power. He expressed strong disapproval of the opposition politicizing incidents of food poisoning in state welfare hostels, describing it as ‘sadistic pleasure’. He encouraged the newly appointed officers to align themselves with the ‘Telangana Rising 2047’ vision document and contribute significantly to the state’s development.

During the event, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka emphasized a clear vision: ‘no one in the State should be idle; they must either be pursuing education or employment.’

Addressing the officers, he spoke movingly about the struggles of parents, many of whom toiled as daily wage earners, meticulously saving every rupee to send their children to Hyderabad for coaching, only to see those ambitious youths endure endless waits for government job announcements.

Mr. Vikramarka remarked on the rarity and historical significance of distributing 783 appointment letters in a single ceremony during his extensive political career. Highlighting the government’s initiatives, such as Young India International Schools, upgraded Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), and the upcoming Skill University at Future City, he implored the officers to commit themselves wholeheartedly to public service, echoing the ambitious 2047 vision for Telangana.
