Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu recently shared exciting news regarding Google’s proposed Artificial Intelligence (AI) hub in Visakhapatnam. He re-posted a supportive message from Jacob Helberg, the U.S. Under Secretary of State for Economic Growth, Energy and Environment, which was a direct response to Google CEO Sundar Pichai’s earlier announcement on X (formerly Twitter).
Pichai had expressed his optimism following discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, revealing Google’s ambitious plan for its first-ever AI hub in Visakhapatnam. This groundbreaking facility is set to incorporate immense gigawatt-scale computing power, establish a new international undersea data cable gateway, and feature robust large-scale energy infrastructure. Google’s vision is to deliver its advanced AI technology to businesses and users across India, significantly boosting AI innovation and driving economic growth nationwide.
In his commendatory reply, Mr. Helberg emphasized the strategic importance of bringing Google’s complete AI technology stack to Andhra Pradesh. He noted that this move would greatly enhance market access for U.S. services and companies within one of the world’s fastest-growing economies. Helberg proudly characterized this development as a clear testament to American technological leadership and a crucial step towards forging a deeper, more robust U.S.-India innovation partnership.

In related state news, Chief Minister Naidu also conveyed his immense pleasure on X regarding the prestigious national recognition bestowed upon Alluri Sitharama Raju (ASR) district. The district was honored as the ‘Best Performing District’ under the comprehensive ‘Dharti Aaba Janbhagidhari Abhiyan’.
The award, presented by President Droupadi Murmu, celebrated ASR district’s exemplary execution of the ‘Pradhan Mantri Janjatiya Unnat Gram Abhiyan’ and the ‘Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan’.
