Guntur’s District Task Force has successfully busted several illegal gambling and prostitution operations, leading to the arrest of 15 individuals, as confirmed by District Superintendent of Police Vakul Jindal. These coordinated raids were carried out under the watchful eye of the SB Circle Inspector.
One significant operation targeted a building in the Old Guntur Police Station area, where police found multiple people involved in illegal gambling activities. During this raid, authorities apprehended 10 suspects and confiscated ₹25,500 in cash, ten mobile phones, and four two-wheelers. All apprehended individuals and seized items have been transferred to the relevant police station for ongoing investigation.
In a separate, equally successful action, Task Force officers stormed a residence in Brodipet, within the Arundelpet Police Station jurisdiction, where they uncovered an active prostitution ring. Five individuals were taken into custody and subsequently handed over to the local police for further legal proceedings.
Superintendent Jindal reiterated the district police’s firm resolve to stamp out all illicit activities across Guntur. He issued a stern warning that anyone found participating in such unlawful acts would face severe and decisive legal action.
