The successful “Super GST – Super Savings” awareness campaign, which has been educating the public for a month about the benefits of the new GST 2.0 reforms, will draw to a close this Sunday, October 19, 2025, with a special valedictory event. District Collector Sumit Kumar shared this information on Saturday, October 20.
Speaking to reporters, the Collector emphasized that the Central government’s latest GST 2.0 reforms have significantly brought down the prices of many essential commodities, offering considerable relief to everyday consumers.
The grand closing ceremony, organized by the State Commercial Taxes Department, will take place at Jyotirao Phule Bhavan, located near PVKN College. Attendees can look forward to various commercial exhibition stalls and engaging cultural performances as part of the celebration, he added.
Collector Kumar highlighted that the smooth execution of the event has been entrusted to officials from multiple government departments. Key arrangements will be overseen by the Joint Commissioner of Commercial Taxes and the Revenue Divisional Officers (RDOs) from Chittoor, Nagari, Palamaner, and Kuppam. Furthermore, the DRDA and Panchayat Raj officials are actively involved in setting up dedicated stalls for the event.
The concluding function will feature attractions such as a vibrant fruit stall and an informative exhibition hosted by the Department of Tourism. Both the DRDA and MEPMA Project Directors have been given clear instructions to maximize public engagement and ensure a large turnout for this important valedictory ceremony, the Collector concluded.
