Pune Racecourse buzzed with activity on Thursday morning, October 16th, as several horses put on a stellar display during their exercises. Among the standout performers were the formidable trio of Turn And Burn, Mojito, and Pride’s Prince, all showcasing excellent form.
Inner Sand Track Highlights:
600m Drills:
- Fighton (P. Dhebe): Clocked a swift 36 seconds, moving with notable prowess.
- Invictor (Zervan): This two-year-old colt completed the distance in an easy 40 seconds.
- Ariyana Star (A. Gaikwad): Maintained a free stride, finishing in 38 seconds.
- Inheritance (Gore) & Ace In The Field (Akram): Both two-year-olds ran level, recording 40 seconds.
- Ministry Of Time (A. Gaikwad): Showed an easy pace, finishing in 39 seconds.
800m Gallops:
- Believe (Bharat): Moved fluently, posting 55 seconds for 800m and 41 for the final 600m.
- Ataash (T.S. Jodha): An easy run, finishing in 57 seconds (800m) and 42 seconds (600m).
- Axlrod (T.S. Jodha): Demonstrated strong movement with a time of 50 seconds (800m) and 38 seconds (600m).
- Destroyer (Merchant): Pressed hard, achieving 50 seconds (800m) and 38 seconds (600m).
- Shubhankar (Bharat): Worked commendably, recording 52 seconds (800m) and 38 seconds (600m).
- Disciplined (Neeraj): Moved with a free stride, clocking 51 seconds (800m) and 38 seconds (600m).
- Jackson (Bharat): Was urged in the final stretch, finishing in 51 seconds (800m) and 38 seconds (600m).
- Elevate (Yash): This two-year-old impressed with a good run of 53 seconds (800m) and 39 seconds (600m).
- Bashir (Bharat): Maintained an easy pace, recording 56 seconds (800m) and 41 seconds (600m).
1000m Sprints:
- Desert Classic (S. Kamble): Worked effectively, finishing in 1-5 (1000m), 51 (800m), and 39 (600m).
- Pride’s Prince (C.S. Jodha): Responded magnificently to urgings, clocking 1-4 (1000m), 49 (800m), and 37 (600m).
- South Beach (Parmar) & Jetfire (P. Dhebe): Ran together, with South Beach easily pulling four lengths ahead. Times were 1-6 (1000m), 51 (800m), and 37 (600m).
- Mojito (Parmar): Displayed strong form with a time of 1-4 (1000m), 50 (800m), and 37 (600m), needing only slight urging.
- Turn And Burn (Ranjane): Pleased onlookers with a smooth run, posting 1-4 (1000m), 50 (800m), and 38 (600m).
- Kavya (Parmar): Moved impressively, recording 1-4 (1000m), 49 (800m), and a rapid 36 (600m).
- Son Of A Gun (Mustakim): Was urged in the latter stages, finishing in 1-5 (1000m), 51 (800m), and 39 (600m).
- Alexandria (Zervan): Showed fluid movement, clocking 1-10 (1000m) and 40 (600m).
1200m Exercises:
- Bright Button (Neeraj) & Epic Endeavour (Hamir): The pair moved freely, neck and neck, completing the distance in 1-20 (1200m), 1-7 (1000m), 53 (800m), and 40 (600m). Both are in good shape.
- Foujita (Nazil): Moved attractively, posting 1-21 (1200m), 51 (800m), and 38 (600m).
- Lucio (Aditya): Had an easy run, finishing in 1-25 (1200m) and 40 (600m).
1600m Long Runs:
- Tiepolo (Vivek G) & Odysseus (Neeraj): Both horses demonstrated excellent fitness, completing the 1600m in 1-54, 1-24 (1200m), 54 (800m), and 41 (600m).
Noted on October 15th:
Inner Sand Track:
- 600m: Shirsa (S.G. Prasad) 39. Was notably urged during this short sprint.
- 1200m: 2/y/o Starlight Serenade (M. Naveen) 1-27, 600/43. Enjoyed an easy workout.
Gate Practice on the Inner Sand:
- 1000m: 2/y/o Nine Speed (Nazil) 1-6, 800/53, 600/41. Showed good progress during its gate practice session.
