Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed profound sorrow on Thursday, October 16, 2025, over the passing of Sindhi spiritual leader Sai Chanduram, calling it an ‘irreparable loss to the spiritual world.’
The Chief Minister visited the revered Shiv Shanti Ashram in Lucknow on the same day to pay his final respects to its esteemed head priest.
In a solemn ceremony, Mr. Adityanath laid floral tributes before the mortal remains of the ‘Sant Shiromani,’ who had passed away the previous day, Wednesday, October 15, 2025. He conveyed his deepest condolences to the grieving devotees gathered at the Ashram.
Further honoring the spiritual luminary, the Chief Minister reverently draped Sai Chanduram’s mortal remains with a saffron ‘angvastra’ and offered homage before his statue.
Taking to X, Mr. Adityanath shared his sentiments in Hindi, stating, ‘The demise of Sant Shiromani Shri Sai Chanduram Sahib Ji, a respected spiritual leader of the Sindhi community and the head of the esteemed Shri Shanti Ashram, is deeply saddening and an irreparable loss to the spiritual world.’
He added, ‘My heartfelt condolences are with his grieving followers. I pray to Lord Jhulelal to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and give his devotees the strength to bear this loss. Om Shanti!’
During the Chief Minister’s visit, a significant number of followers congregated at the Ashram, united in their devotion and grief. They affirmed their commitment to upholding Sai Chanduram’s teachings and spreading his profound ideals among the broader community.
