On October 14, 2025, Vikrama Simhapuri University (VSU) celebrated a significant literary event with the release of a new book titled “Tourism: Innovative Pathways to Sustainable Livelihoods—Diversifying Rural Occupations.” The book, penned by the accomplished Dr. Myla Thyagaraju, was officially launched by VSU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Allam Srinivasa Rao at the university’s Kakaturu Campus in SPSR Nellore district.
Dr. Thyagaraju’s insightful work delves into the transformative power of tourism, particularly its ability to create diverse employment opportunities in rural areas. She underscored the critical importance of adopting sustainable tourism practices, especially for developing nations such as India, to ensure long-term benefits and environmental protection.
