A significant step towards expanding holistic healthcare was taken on Monday, October 13, 2025, with the foundation stone ceremony for the Sri Tulasi Ayurvedic Hospital. Located within the bustling Sri City industrial zone of Tirupati district, this will be the first Ayurvedic facility of its kind in the area.
The auspicious ‘Bhoomi Puja’ ceremony marked the beginning of this ambitious project, attended by key figures including Nireesha Sannareddy, Sri City’s Director of CSR, and C. Ramesh Kumar, Vice-President of Customer Relations.
Dr. N. Sivaprasad, the Managing Director of Sri Tulasi Ayurvedic Hospital, detailed the initial plans for the institution. The project will kick off with an investment of ₹75 lakh, establishing a ten-bed in-patient facility alongside specialized outpatient services. The hospital is eagerly anticipated to be fully operational by next year’s Ugadi festival, offering crucial healthcare services to local residents.
Emphasizing comprehensive care, the hospital will feature specialized Ayurvedic treatments such as Prasuti Tantra (focused on Obstetrics and Gynaecology) and Kayachikitsa (General Medicine). Ms. Nireesha Sannareddy highlighted the unique potential of the new hospital, stating, “Given Sri City’s pristine natural environment, this hospital is poised to evolve into a leading regional Panchakarma wellness centre, providing an unparalleled setting for truly holistic healing.”
