On Monday morning, October 13, the Bengaluru track came alive with exhilarating horse workouts. Several prominent contenders, including Star Studded, Immortal Beauty, and Stalingrad, showcased their prowess, leaving observers impressed with their speed and conditioning.
Outer Sand Training Highlights:
600m Drills: Southernaristocrat moved effortlessly, clocking 46 seconds. Sekhmet (with jockey Rushal) and Ladyness (ridden by P. Mani) also moved comfortably on the bit, both finishing in 46 seconds. Legendary Impact (Shinde) and Striking Eyes (Suhas) completed their run in 43 seconds, with Legendary Impact showing particularly pleasing form. Bourbon Bay, under Shreyas, stretched out exceptionally well, recording 44 seconds.
1000m Gallops: Acutav, guided by R. Pradeep, strode out with power, completing 1000m in 1 minute 15 seconds, with the last 600m in 42 seconds. Striking Viking (Antony) moved smoothly, clocking 1 minute 16 seconds for 1000m and 43.5 seconds for the final 600m. Irish Coffee (Anish) displayed good shape, finishing 1000m in 1 minute 15 seconds and the last 600m in 44 seconds. Immortal Beauty, with Kiran Rai aboard, showed fluent movement, completing 1000m in an impressive 1 minute 13 seconds, with the last 600m in 42.5 seconds.
1200m Session: D Fronx, ridden by B. Paswan, had an easy workout, covering 1200m in 1 minute 30.5 seconds, and 1000m in 1 minute 15.5 seconds, with the final 600m in 46 seconds.
1400m Endurance: Star Studded (Kiran Rai) and Star Honour (Vikrant) galloped over 1400m, clocking 1 minute 43.5 seconds (1200m in 1:26.5, 1000m in 1:12, 600m in 42.5). Star Studded impressively finished five lengths ahead. Stalingrad (Rozario) and Night Raider (Arvind) put in a strong performance over 1400m, recording 1 minute 41 seconds (with a 54-second split for 1400m-600m). Stalingrad notably finished three lengths ahead of Night Raider.
