Exciting news for tech enthusiasts! Details about the Xiaomi 17 Ultra’s connectivity features have emerged, not long after Xiaomi introduced its current 17 series in China. While we already have the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro, and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, the company is reportedly preparing to release the ultra-premium Xiaomi 17 Ultra. A recent radio certification listing, which conveniently spilled its model number, strongly suggests this high-end device is launching soon. The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is anticipated to boast an impressive quad-rear camera system, highlighted by a powerful 200-megapixel primary sensor, and will likely be powered by Qualcomm’s cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. This next-generation phone is expected to debut in early 2026, succeeding the acclaimed Xiaomi 15 Ultra.
Xiaomi 17 Ultra Connectivity Features (Expected)
According to popular tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, a Chinese regulatory website has listed the Xiaomi 17 Ultra under model number 25128PNA1C. This certification reveals exciting connectivity capabilities for the upcoming device, including Tiantong-1 and BeiDou support for seamless satellite calls and messages. Furthermore, the listing points to Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology, a feature highly beneficial for precise location tracking of lost devices and smart tags.

Notably, the 25128PNA1C model number isn’t the first to appear; earlier in September, similar devices were seen under model numbers 2512BPNDAG and 2512BPNDAI. This discrepancy suggests that the 25128PNA1C could be a variant specifically for the Chinese market, featuring satellite communication capabilities, or Xiaomi might be planning to release two distinct versions of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra.
Xiaomi 17 Ultra: What We Know So Far
Although China’s radio certification platform didn’t detail full specifications, earlier rumors paint a picture of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra featuring a sophisticated quad-rear camera unit. This advanced system is expected to be led by an impressive 200-megapixel periscope telephoto sensor, complemented by three additional 50-megapixel cameras. Powering this device will be the cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.
Xiaomi is anticipated to unveil the 17 Ultra around January 2026. Speculation suggests it will come equipped with a vibrant 6.8-inch LTPO display, offering a sharp 2K resolution and an adaptive refresh rate that smoothly adjusts from 1Hz to 120Hz. The phone might also showcase a premium 3D-printed titanium alloy frame.
When it comes to power, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra is rumored to house a substantial battery, with capacities expected to fall between 7,000mAh and 7,500mAh. Users can also look forward to rapid 100W fast charging and convenient 50W wireless charging capabilities. This device is set to take the mantle from the Xiaomi 15 Ultra as the brand’s next flagship.
For context, Xiaomi previously launched the Xiaomi 17 in China last month, alongside its Xiaomi 17 Pro series. Both run on HyperOS 3 and are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. All three models already feature impressive 100W wired and 50W wireless fast charging.
