Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy expressed his profound condolences on the recent passing of Konda Lakshma Reddy, a former MLA for Chevella and the respected founder of News & Services Syndicate (NSS). The Chief Minister praised Lakshma Reddy’s distinguished service as a legislator and his influential leadership as president of both the Hyderabad Press Club and the Jubilee Hills Journalists’ Cooperative Housing Society, extending his deepest sympathies to the grieving family.
Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka also conveyed his sorrow, highlighting Konda Lakshma Reddy’s significant and lasting contributions to both public life and the field of journalism. He noted Lakshma Reddy’s pivotal roles within the Congress party, including serving as president of the Andhra Pradesh Sports Authority and as an official spokesperson for the APCC Grievance Cell. Vikramarka described Lakshma Reddy’s demise as an irreplaceable loss to the party and the broader media community.
Further expressing their grief were Minister for Roads, Buildings and Cinematography Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, and Civil Supplies Minister Ponnam Prabhakar. Minister Prabhakar specifically recalled Lakshma Reddy’s deep-rooted political journey with the Congress party and mentioned his lineage as the grandson of Konda Venkata Ranga Reddy, a former Deputy Chief Minister of the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh.
