The Kumbalgodu police have swiftly acted, arresting a 25-year-old man, Aryan Kumar, who was employed at a private firm. He faces serious charges under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act following allegations of sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl within his apartment.
The disturbing incident, which reportedly took place last Wednesday, came to light when the young girl courageously disclosed the harassment to her mother. Prompted by her daughter’s revelation, the parents reviewed the apartment’s CCTV footage, which allegedly corroborated the accused’s actions.
With this crucial evidence, the parents immediately filed a complaint with the police. An FIR was promptly registered, leading to Aryan Kumar’s arrest on the same evening. He has since been presented in court and is currently held in judicial custody, awaiting further legal proceedings.
