Textiles and BC Welfare Minister S. Savitha made a strong appeal on Saturday to Endowments Minister Annam Ramnarayana Reddy. Her request focused on securing financial aid from the Common Good Fund (CGF) to undertake much-needed renovation work for three historically significant temples located in Penukonda.
During her meeting with Mr. Reddy at his camp office in Tadepalle, Ms. Savitha specifically requested a sanction of ₹1.90 crore for the revered Kasturi Ranganatha Swamy temple, along with prompt technical approvals. She also highlighted the ancient Imukteswara Swamy temple, noting that its local committee has already raised ₹6 lakh towards an estimated ₹5.33 crore restoration cost, and pressed for additional CGF support. Furthermore, the Minister advocated for financial assistance for the ancient Ramabhadra temple within the same constituency.
In a positive turn of events, Minister Reddy reportedly responded favorably to Ms. Savitha’s proposals, offering assurances that the Endowments department is committed to supporting the ongoing development and preservation efforts for these cherished temples in Penukonda.
