In anticipation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s major GST public meeting, Andhra Pradesh Roads and Buildings (R&B) Minister B.C. Janardhan Reddy conducted a thorough review of the preparations on Saturday. The high-profile event is slated for October 16 at the Nannur toll plaza in Orvakal mandal, Kurnool district.
During a vital preparatory meeting held at the venue’s control room, Minister Reddy urged all officials and public representatives to treat the upcoming event as a point of pride for the entire district. He emphasized the critical need for absolute precision and seamless coordination across all departments. Key areas of focus included robust security measures, maintaining an unhindered flow of traffic, providing adequate transportation, and ensuring sufficient drinking water provisions for the thousands expected to attend.
Furthermore, Mr. Reddy issued specific directives to the officials: prioritize the creation of ample parking spaces and meticulously organize designated food distribution areas. He stressed the importance of expert vehicle management to prevent any potential traffic jams or bottlenecks, ensuring a smooth experience for all attendees.
The meeting saw the attendance of other prominent figures, including Minister T.G. Bharath, MLA Gauru Charitha Reddy, senior IAS officer Veera Pandyan, District Collector A. Sireesha, and Superintendent of Police (SP) Vikranth Patil, alongside numerous other dedicated officials.
