A devastating accident in Rajajinagar has claimed the life of a nine-year-old schoolgirl. The young girl was tragically hit by a speeding BMTC bus on Saturday morning, while her elder sister miraculously escaped unharmed.
The incident occurred in the first block of the area as the victim, identified as Bhuvana, was on her way home from school. Following the horrific collision, the bus driver and conductor abandoned the vehicle and immediately fled the scene.
Authorities from the Malleshwaram traffic police have since registered a case. They are investigating the incident as a death caused by negligence and reckless driving. The bus involved has been seized as part of the ongoing inquiry.
