A heartbreaking incident unfolded in Bellandur on Friday, October 10, 2025, when two construction workers tragically fell to their deaths from an unfinished multi-storey residential building.
The victims have been identified as Amir Hussain, 33, and Mumtaz Ali Molla, 28, both hailing from Sonpur in West Bengal.
Sources indicate that the two men, along with their colleagues, had been employed at the DNR Arista construction site for approximately one month.
Following the tragedy, Bellandur police swiftly registered a case against officials and site engineers from Imperial Build Tech Pvt Ltd. They face serious charges related to death caused by negligence.
Police investigations revealed a shocking disregard for worker safety. The company and its site engineers allegedly failed to provide essential safety equipment. Crucially, there were no safety nets installed, and the two labourers were working on a balcony without any protective gear when they lost their footing. They plunged to the ground, succumbing to their injuries instantly. Six individuals have since been arrested for further questioning in connection with this devastating oversight.
