JSS Science and Technology University (JSS STU) recently hosted a significant international conference focused on groundbreaking advancements in electronics and green energy technologies.
Organized in collaboration with IEEE Bengaluru and Mysuru, this event provided a vital platform for showcasing innovative engineering and technological breakthroughs. It also fostered crucial partnerships between academic institutions and industry leaders, aiming to propel future developments.
The conference delved into ten specialized areas, exploring the forefront of research in electronics, electrical engineering, and computer science. Out of an impressive 864 global submissions, 164 papers were meticulously selected after a rigorous peer-review process. These contributions came from diverse international regions, including the U.S., Germany, Saudi Arabia, and prominent institutions across India, highlighting the event’s global reach and academic rigor.
B. Suresh, Director of the Technical Education Division at JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Mysuru, officially opened the conference. The distinguished Chief Guest, Sundaraja Sitharama Iyengar, Director of the Centre of Excellence in Digital Forensic at Florida International University, USA, delivered a compelling address on the essential role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) in developing sustainable green energy systems.
Dr. Iyengar underscored how these advanced technologies are pivotal for achieving true sustainability and fostering groundbreaking innovation within the green energy sector.
In his speech, Mr. Suresh illuminated the vast potential of electronics, drawing parallels with India’s ambitious silicon and semiconductor missions and its ventures into space exploration. He stressed that innovation is the cornerstone for steering global technology towards more environmentally friendly solutions.
A.N. Santosh Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of JSS STU, spoke passionately about the urgent need to address the existing skill gap, adapt to evolving global trends, and champion sustainability through effective e-waste management, robust recycling programs, and clear green energy regulations.
Further enriching the experience, the conference included engaging plenary lectures and insightful panel discussions, featuring prominent experts from institutions like the Indian Institute of Science, the National Aerospace Laboratory, and various other industry stalwarts.
