Jyoti Singh, the wife of well-known Bhojpuri actor and BJP leader Pawan Singh, recently met with Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor in Patna. The meeting has sparked speculation about her potential entry into politics and a possible ticket for the upcoming Bihar Assembly polls.
However, Prashant Kishor addressed the rumors, stating that Jyoti Singh’s visit was not driven by any intention to contest elections or secure a party ticket. According to Kishor, she came to him to discuss the difficulties she is currently experiencing in her personal life, specifically highlighting concerns about her safety and a lack of justice in her personal matters. Kishor assured her of his party’s support regarding her safety, while emphasizing that Jan Suraaj would not interfere in her personal issues.
Jyoti Singh also expressed a desire to ensure that other women do not have to endure similar experiences. This meeting comes after a period of heightened marital discord between Jyoti Singh and Pawan Singh, which reportedly escalated after she visited his residence in Lucknow.
Following the meeting, Pawan Singh reportedly left the venue while his wife stayed behind. An incident involving police being called to the residence led to Jyoti Singh posting an emotional video, alleging harassment and threats. Pawan Singh, however, has denied these allegations, suggesting in a social media post that the dispute’s timing might be linked to political ambitions. He asserted that police presence was for security and not against anyone.
The actor’s recent meetings with senior BJP leaders have fueled speculation that he might be considering contesting the assembly elections on a BJP ticket.
