The ‘Super GST-Super Savings’ campaign recently made its way to the Government Maternity Hospital in Tirupati. Medical professionals actively engaged with patients and their families, educating them about the significant advantages brought by GST 2.0.
Under the leadership of Resident Medical Officer and civil surgeon Dr. Ramanarayana Reddy and Superintendent Dr. Radha, the hospital’s medical team highlighted how GST 2.0 has led to a substantial reduction in the cost of vital medications. They also emphasized improved access to medical services and more affordable health insurance options.
Furthermore, it was explained that hospitals themselves can now acquire everything from cutting-edge medical and laboratory equipment to basic thermometers at reduced prices. Doctors noted that even the decreased cost of biomedical waste treatment translates to considerable savings, approximately ₹50 per patient.
To further amplify the message, a spirited rally was organized within the hospital grounds, culminating in the formation of a human chain. Nurses, paramedical staff, and students actively participated, demonstrating strong support for the initiative.
