In a significant move to foster digital literacy and equip students with crucial skills for the future, Mahatma Gandhi Rural Development and Panchayat Raj (MGRDPR) University in Gadag has officially partnered with Infosys by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
This landmark agreement was formalized in Gadag as part of Infosys’ ambitious ESG Vision 2030 initiative. The signing ceremony was attended by key figures, including MGRDPR University Vice-Chancellor Suresh V. Nadagouda and Santhosh Ananthapura, Associate Vice-President and Head of Government Partnerships Division at Infosys.
According to a university press release, this collaboration represents a major step towards seamlessly integrating cutting-edge technology into rural higher education, paving the way for sustainable development and highly skilled graduates.
Professor Nadagouda emphasized the transformative potential of such partnerships, stating that they are vital for empowering rural students with the advanced technological and digital proficiencies needed to thrive in an increasingly competitive global landscape.
Mr. Ananthapura underscored Infosys’ deep commitment to fostering inclusive education, ensuring that high-quality learning opportunities reach all segments of society.
He further explained that the Infosys Springboard program will play a pivotal role in bridging the traditional divide between academic institutions and industry demands, by making top-tier learning resources readily available to everyone.
The event also saw the participation of Girish Dixit, Assistant Director of Research and Exploration at MGRDPR University, among other distinguished guests.
