Nandyal’s esteemed Member of Parliament, Byreddy Shabari, made a passionate appeal on Wednesday for the widespread adoption and promotion of value-based education across the region.
During the inauguration of new classrooms at Kendriya Vidyalaya in Dhone, MP Shabari highlighted that education, when interwoven with cultural and moral principles, is absolutely vital for cultivating well-rounded and responsible citizens. She remarked, “Students fortunate enough to gain admission into Kendriya Vidyalayas are truly privileged, as these institutions are committed to providing exceptional education under a unified national curriculum.”
The MP emphasized the strong commitment of both the Central and State governments to the education sector, noting their consistent allocation of substantial funds. She specifically praised HRD Minister Nara Lokesh for his keen focus on bolstering academic infrastructure throughout the State, affirming the Centre’s readiness to extend financial support.
Furthermore, Ms. Shabari announced a significant development: the Central government has approved the establishment of an additional Kendriya Vidyalaya in Nandyal district headquarters. This decision reflects the increasing presence of Central government employees in the area and their growing need for quality educational facilities.
MP Shabari reiterated her resolve to secure even more Central funds for Andhra Pradesh, particularly to accelerate educational progress within the district. She encouraged students to strive for excellence not only academically but also morally, and reassured parents that Kendriya Vidyalayas offer a consistently stable and structured learning environment for children nationwide.
In addition to her focus on education, the MP also conducted an inspection of the Lakshmapuram summer storage tank in Pagidyala mandal. She voiced strong disapproval regarding its subpar maintenance, criticizing the contractor for failing to ensure the facility was adequately cleaned. Ms. Shabari issued a stern warning, stating that any officials or contractors found negligent on public health matters would face immediate legal and disciplinary action.
During her interaction with officials from the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation (RWS) department, the MP directed them to promptly initiate water purification efforts for the stored water and ensure a reliable supply of safe drinking water to the villages within Pagidyala and Jupadubungla mandals.
Senior representatives from the Revenue, Police, and Panchayat Raj departments were present and accompanied the MP throughout her comprehensive visit.
