A severe road accident has tragically claimed the lives of four individuals and left fifteen others injured in Gujarat’s Patan district. The incident took place on Sunday morning around 10 AM on the national highway near Moti Pipli village in Radhanpur.
According to Superintendent of Police Vasant Nayi, a pickup van carrying approximately 15 passengers was attempting to overtake another vehicle. The maneuver led to a head-on collision with a truck on a section of the highway where traffic lanes were restricted due to ongoing road construction work.
The impact was so severe that the pickup van also struck two motorcycles that were carrying four people. The deceased include two passengers from the van and two individuals on the motorcycles. Among the fifteen injured, two are reported to be in critical condition. All victims have been admitted to the hospital for treatment.
The deceased have been identified as Lakshman Desai, Yash Unchosan, Kanu Raval, and Nasib Khan, as confirmed by a police official from the Radhanpur police station.
